Every guitar player has probably had the grandfather of the GAS pedal under his feet. The new GAS (Overdrive / Clean Boost) pedal stands for a natural, straightforward going overdrive tone without coloring the original sound. Whether played in front of a clean, overdriven or distorted amplifier, the GAS ( OD/CB ) always works. Top level overdrive sounds with gain boost (toggle switch) and two separate bass boost (toggle switches) for each pedal plus a Clean Boost that not only offers more output levels, up to +20dB (toggle switch), but brings new life into every amplifier. Guitar players all over the world use the GAS family to give their existing sound sweet overdrive and boost. Two completely different sounds => one pedal for a professional sound.

Der Look und die kompakten Maße vom neuen GAS (OD/CB) sind wunderbar. Vor allem der Plexi-Goldlook hat was.
Und viel wichtiger: Ich spiele seit 2010 die Pedale von Uli Rodenberg. Ich habe jetzt schon so einige Pedale von Rodenberg gekauft und gespielt (GAS 909, Hot Chili II, GAS 789, Flux, 808 SL, 808 NG, 707 Twin, Commander I & II). Zudem hatte ich zig andere – zum Teil sündhaft teuere – Overdrives und Booster namhafter Hersteller ausprobiert. Und ich kann ohne Übertreibung sagen: dieses GAS OD/CB ist das beste Pedal, das ich je von Rodenberg hatte – eigentlich überhaupt das beste OD Pedal in Kombi mit einem Cleanboost.
Der Cleanboost klingt viel runder, mit Single Coil Gitarren so richtig fett und differenziert und lässt meine Stratocaster besser klingen als je zuvor. Er sitzt genau an der richtigen Stelle in der Signalkette, nach dem OD und kann z.B. bei Solopassagen zugeschaltet werden, um sich durch den Bandsound durchzusetzen. Allein der Cleanboost, der bis zu 20 dB bringt, wäre mir das Geld wert.
Dann kommt aber noch der irrsinnig dynamische und genial differenziert wie fett klingende Overdrive, der selbst einen angezerrten Amp noch zum singen bringt und brachiale Gainreserven hat, ohne zu mumpfen. Wer mit dem Volumenpoti seiner Gitarre umzugehen weiß, der hat mit dem OD alle Nuancen eines dynamischen Sounds von clean, Low- bis Mid- und Hi-Gain.
Insgesamt ein sehr musikalisches Pedal, das wie ein eigenes Instrument meinen Sound ausmacht und mich besser klingen und damit auch besser spielen lässt. Ich liebe es.

Da ist der Preis im Grunde genommen kein Witz mehr, sondern das beste und alleinige Argument, dieses herausragende Pedal zu kaufen, zu spielen und einfach glücklich damit zu sein.
endlich ein pedal, daß den ibanez tubescreamer endgültig vergessen läst. superoptik, wem es gefällt, 1a sound und alles drin und dran, was der studio-oder livemusiker braucht. und für den einsteiger könnte es das pedal für’s leben werden. tyler, ulli, ein dolles ding!
